In hindsight, January 2020 was arguably the worst possible time to start up a new band, but that didn’t stop Cleveland’s Last Gasp from making the best of a bad situation. Using the resources at their disposal, the blistering new quartet have managed to put out multiple release this year with even more on the horizon without ever having played a show. The veteran musicians have pulled from a wide array of influences to create a sound that’s all their own while still feeling grounded in the rich tradition of hardcore punk in Northeast Ohio. Having used their time in quarantine to hone in on their sound and craft, the future is bright for this hungry new outfit.
Fairly political, anxiously personal, straightforward hardcore for fans of AFI, Mental, Bracewar, Carry On, and Panic.
